Welcome!

We are so glad you are here.  We hope to meet you soon and begin growing toward Christ together through Worship, His Word, our Walk, and serving the World together.  While you’re here consider yourselves family because we have been expecting you….

WHAT DOES A SUNDAY MORNING LOOK LIKE?

We have two worship times at 9A & 10:30A and both are exactly the same.  We will start by centering our hearts and voices in worship to Him.  Then you will hear a 30-40 min sermon on a current theme from one of our Pastors.  Everything lasting about 1hr and 30 mins.

At the same times as worship we also have Truth Academy Bible Studies all across the building.  There is a board with all of our studies listed in the main foyer, but if you would like to read up on the studies before you arrive visit here.

Along with adult studies our Connect Kids, 567, Students and Verge College meet during one or all of the worship times.  Click here to see more details on the specific ministries.

Our beliefs

Our mandate is to ‘help people find and follow Jesus’ (make disciples).  To accomplish this, the church and the home need a common path on which to walk.  It is not enough to have a great ministry to children and students at church. We have to equip homes to impress their faith upon their children. You can do it!  We can help!!  We offer a variety of ways to be equipped in order to have ‘faith talks’ in your home daily.  Stronger marriages! Stronger families! Stronger Communities! Stronger Churches to reach the World!  This mandate requires a 24/7faith.  Wherever you are on your path as a disciple of Jesus, begin there by connecting to Connect Church; the Connection you’ve been missing!

If you look at our logo you will see 4 colors.  Each color and stage means something to us.  Our logo is a representation of  the journey of a Christ follower.

Red is Worship/Heart.  Everything flows from Worship.  You start attending worship in the congregation. Then you are worshiping along side others and then you are in daily worship.

Blue is Word/Head.  The Word of God… the truth… the living water!  You  may start attending Truth Academy Bible Studies, then teaching Bible Studies to a daily student of the Word.

Green is Walk/Habits.  Through our walk we create relationships and the best way to do that at Connect Church is to join a Connect Group.  The journey starts by joining a group, then leading a group and then creating relationships outside of church.  Spreading the gospel by connecting with others around you.  Neighbors, co-workers… cashier at Wal-Mart.  Help People find and follow Jesus!

Yellow is World/Hands.  With our hands we can serve.  You are more than a volunteer you are a team of servants for the Kingdom.  You are expanding the Kingdom by filling backpacks with food, teaching Connect kids classes or helping someone in the building from the parking lot.  We are all the hands and feet of Christ.  You start this by joining a serve team, leading a serve team and then everything you do becomes serving others.

Serving becomes Worship and the cycle starts over.   We are in a constant state of change because “GROWING PEOPLE CHANGE”.

WHAT WE BELIEVE….

We believe . . . that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and without mistakes as originally written. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian life.

We believe . . . in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power.

We believe
. . . in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return.

We believe . . . that man was created by and for God; that by man’s disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice.

We believe . . . the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and are, therefore, in the right relationship with God.

We believe . . . in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling all believers and thus enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer.

We believe
. . . in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the everlasting blessedness of those in right relationship with God, and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God’s forgiveness in His Son.

CONNECTIONS.png

Connections are foundational.
At the core of our living and breathing.  Everything we are is connected within itself…
Connections are creational.
We have a longing for belonging.  Without connections, life is empty…
Connections are required.
Love matters most.  Love God, Love People…
Connections bring understanding.
Our life is only one piece of a much larger puzzle.
Connections are empowering.
Power comes through connections.
Connections facilitate growth.
We are spurred on by sharing life with each other.
Connections creates balance.
Proper relationships bring out proper perspectives and priorities.
Connections establish security.
The more connected a person is, the more confident they are.
Connections produce productivity.
Your influence capacity is determined by your personal connections…
Connections are learned not natural.
Our natural response is to live in isolation. But we come alive in community…

First of all, welcome to Russellville!
No matter where you’ve come from we understand that moving to “Russellville” (or any new place) can be a challenge and we’d love to help you get better acclimated with our city. Getting to know a new city can be overwhelming at times… the heat, the cold, the hills, some of our people (haha), … new mechanics, realtors you can trust, plumbers, mr. fix-it (handyman).  What/Where/When/Who and eventually Why are all good questions (especially starting out in a new place) but we promise you’ll make it if you want to and we want to help.

The best way to get to know any new city is to talk to the locals. We would love to talk with you about our favorite places to eat, shop, and have fun. If you need some hints on safe neighborhoods or good snow cone stands just give us call.
